You know the nightmare where you are at a hotel taking a shower have shampoo in your hair and are shaving your legs when the fire alarm goes off? Then you have to jump out of the shower wrap a towel around yourself and go outside in the cold in the middle of the night dripping with soap and shaving cream and wait for the firetruck to come? Yeah, that wasn't my nightmare, but my reality is that I have a wicked bad cold and had to get up at 5:30 am so I took cold medicine and went to bed early and Hoss was up til midnight studying and had just fallen asleep when the fire alarm went off at our extended stay hotel at 12:45am and we had to go out and wait in the hotel parking lot until 1:30am for the firemen to come and check every room all because someone was cooking a steak at 1 in the morning and set it on fire which resulted in smoke and set off the alarm!
Seriously, who cooks steak in the middle of the night? Who eats steak in the middle of the night? And who catches steak on fire when they are cooking on an electric stove?

sometimes steak is good in the middle of the night...sorry i didn't realize i was staying at the same hotel as you...
if i would have known I would have invited you both over for some grilled steaks...
I cant answer your last question or your first, but if there was a nice and juicy steak available, I'd eat it. without even thinking about it... probably because i would still be stupid with sleep.
I think someone needs to punch that guy. NO ONE interrupts my sleep with out a fight. Just ask my kids. Not even steak could lure me out of bed. I'm sorry that happened.
it's good that your life is full of fun and excitement without me in it. send me your email address, so i can communicate with you some other way besides leaving comments on your blog. to answer your questions, yes they did hear the, "apples, oranges, breasts, bananas" story, and yes they did laugh, i've never met anyone who didn't. sorry to report that my poor throat has gotten worse, but doctors here are somewhat more sophisticated in their techniques than in laramie. i've had food stuck three times since (all here in rochester) i feel like a regular in the GI unit. i even asked for a punch card, you know, buy four endoscopies get the fifth for free. i think i win for longest blog comment. be good sarah, or rose, or maybe i should just call you the woman that invented snow?
Hey! We wonder about you guys, too - we haven't seen you in a long time! Thanks for the congrats. Sounds like you guys have a lot going on. Your house looks sweet. I have to work a lot of Saturdays but maybe in November we'll see about coming down on a Friday night and going to the temple the next day?
Sounds great! We would love to see you!
You got me too excited when I read the "we're expecting" headline. You should not do that too me! We really miss you guys. We thought we would see more of you now that you're closer but it hasn't happened yet. That makes me sad!
Oh my gosh...that is seriously something that would happen in a movie! Or to my good friend, Rose. :-) Miss you, lady! Love you! And great house too--congrats!
